My studio is in my home and that is where I do most of my work. I do all of the work myself and bring Larnell on if it is a big job. I out source some things (like screen printing and large scale embroidery), but I will find the best contractors and lowest price for that work.
I initially learned how to sew from my mom. She and my grandmother were great seamstresses. I have sewn for over 30 years, but mostly I sewed for myself until the early 2000s. At that time I decided to make sewing and designing a career, so I went back to school and earned a degree in Apparel Design. Since then I have worked as a designer and developer at several major Seattle apparel companies. In addition, I’ve done contract work for a number of prominent local designers.
I am fortunate to have Larnell Randolph working for me. Larnell is from Chicago and has always been interested in fashion. His focus is one-of-a-kind, well-fitted attire. He feels you can dress well in any occasion and should!
FOR ALTERATIONS:
Clothing must be clean. We are only responsible for the alterations we measure or are clearly marked by you and documented in the work order. All items left over 30 days will be donated to charity. If you want the item(s) left out for pick up you agree to waive any responsibility for damage or loss. We only press where we sew! Please allow plenty of time afterwards to have your clothes pressed at a Dry Cleaner. If you do not fully inspect/try on the garment before pick up there are no returns or refunds. No returns accepted 15 days after pickup. Remember, cotton will shrink, so pre-wash your clothing before altering. Bring proper height shoes to the fitting. We accept cash, check, Venmo and PayPal.
FOR CUSTOM ITEMS OR PRODUCTION:
The process begins with a free 30 minute fitting/consultation. Together, we will review your project, take any necessary measurements, and discuss your timeline and expectations. After the project is assessed, you will be given a price quote and will have the opportunity to work out a timeline for completion. Price estimates are based on what we see and discuss in the initial appointment. Requesting changes that depart from the original plan may incur additional fees. All changes must be requested in person at fittings. Timelines and prices vary with the complexity of the job. Multiple fittings will be scheduled for major alterations, custom garments, costumes, and wardrobing needs. A non-refundable deposit is required on all projects over $200.00. Expect to pay for all materials up front, in addition to your deposit. Final payment is due when the work is completed. Agreeing to a project and leaving your items, ideas, and/or a deposit, acts as a binding contract, and you are legally liable for the amount billed. As a service-based business, we are always happy to provide additional service, but we do not offer refunds under any circumstances.
